About our Summer Program

Summer Camps run from July 2nd - August 30th, 2024.
Camp Hours: 8:45am – 3:45pm with extended hours of 7:00am – 6:00pm at no additional charge. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided and a lunch menu is available for purchase. Lunches are provided for the Young Explorer & Young Adventurers 1 campers.

Young Explorers – Preschoolers - (3 - 4 years of age)
Young Explorer camps provide the 3-4 year old with a day filled with hands on activities that are open ended to encourage their innate sense of curiosity and wonder.  Topics have been chosen that lend themselves to exploration through play with plenty of time for unstructured play and physical activity.  Lunch and snacks are included with a ratio of 8:1.

Young Adventurers P – Primary - 4 - 5 years old (entering grade primary)
Young Adventurers’ 1 camps are for the preprimary child entering primary who is ready to spend a longer period of time on the overall weekly topic than the preschooler and is balanced with opportunities for play and physical activity. Lunch and snacks are included with a ratio of 8:1

Young Adventurers 2 – Early Elementary 6 – 7 years  (entering grades 1 or 2)
Young Adventurers’ 2 camps are for the early elementary child who is ready to spend a longer period of time on the overall weekly topic and is balanced with opportunities for play and physical activity.

 7 & Up
These camps are designed for children who have completed a minimum of two years of formal schooling. Camps with age exceptions will be marked.
Adventurers’ camps provide a mix of instruction and free play (exploration) indoors and out that has been programmed for the mid-to older elementary child to provide experiences in inquiry, teaming, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity and communication.
All camps have an element of physical activity even if it is not explicitly stated.
Camps that are open to younger elementary children allow for groupings at this level with appropriate programming.

Welcome to Creative Kids Summer Camps! Camp Hours 8:45am – 3:45pm with extended hours of 7:00am – 6:00pm. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided and a lunch menu is available for purchase.

We anticipate a fun, safe summer filled with activities. To help us be successful in this endeavor we have a few requests, some of which you should discuss with your child.

1. Read the CKEC Day Camp Handbook
2. Sign your child in at the kiosk - staff there will assist them to their group.
3. Show respect to yourself, others and to the equipment.
4. Apply sunscreen before coming to camp and we will ensure another application before lunch. We will apply sunscreen to campers who come without unless you indicate otherwise. Please advise of any allergies or sensitivities to sunscreen.
5. Be prepared with a water bottle, beach towel, swimsuit, sunscreen and hat. An application of bug spray for the early morning outside activities is suggested.
6. Footwear for indoor use is required along with footwear for outdoor use.
7. Sneakers for running activities, as well as sandals for the heat, will promote safety and comfort. A change of clothing is also a good idea!! We do not recommend crocs or flip flops due to the natural wooded environment and lack of support that this footwear provides. They are acceptable for inside footwear, however campers should still have sneakers for the gym.
8. It is not unusual for a camper to require a change of clothes so please send extra! We play lots of water games.
9. Put your child’s name on bottles, hats, beach towels, etc. While we strive to support children in putting their belongings in their assigned space many items end up in the lost and found. 
10. Send a lunch with your child or you may purchase from our lunch menu (check the website at www.creativekids.info). The cost is $6.00 per meal. We provide morning and afternoon snacks. If you have a fussy eater or specific dietary concerns, let us know. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate all dietary requests. We are nut free. Friday's are pizza day - an extra slice can be added for $2.00
11. Permission to administer medication forms will need to be filled out should your child require prescription or over the counter medication.
12. Pick up of campers – When you arrive to pick up your child please enter the building and sign out at the kiosk and let the staff there know whom you are picking up. Your child’s group leader will be paged to advise them that your child will be leaving. If you go directly to the group you will be sent back to the kiosk.
